The job market is hot, but are your interviewing skills up to speed?

While some of those goals may be to shed some pounds, others may be looking for a career change to start 2015 off right.
While it’s true the current job market is hot, the question is are you interviewing skills up to speed?
On Thursday morning, Executive Recruiter and author, Russ Hovendick, our “Career Corner” expert, to discuss what you can do to stand out in your next interview.
Russ says employers are really focusing on the character of an individual – soft skills – people interaction skills. He says the most important thing you can do is to separate yourself from your competition.
Here are some tips:
1.) Eliminate the standard buzz words such as – “people person” – “firm, fair, & consistent” – these terms bring nothing to the table to differentiate yourself and may actually hurt you.
2.) Know who you are: inject terms that define you and provide quick examples that demonstrate this – statements of credibility
3.) Key your examples to the needs of the employer
