Shake it ‘Off’icer!
One Delaware police officer really knows how to shake off the stress of the job. A dashcam caught a 19-year veteran of the force enthusiastically lip-syncing to Taylor Swift’s “Shake It Off” last week.
The video was posted to the Dover Police Department’s Facebook page on Friday. It shows Master Corporal Jeff Davison in uniform, driving a patrol car while singing the popular song. The department has gotten calls about the video from news outlets as far as Australia and Germany, and it already has over 13 million views on YouTube.
Here’s something you may not know, the video was actually staged in a parking lot as part of a series of videos to show police officers in a different light. Davison says he knows the song so well thanks to his 10-year-old daughter.
Taylor Swift even responded to the dancing cop tweeting a link to the video saying: “lolololol the sass.”
