Diocese Expects 4,000 Catholic School Students This Week

Catholic Diocese of Sioux Falls celebrates 125 years in 2015

The Catholic Diocese of Sioux Falls says it expects nearly 4,000 students to attend its first-ever all Catholic schools mass this week.

The Diocese is celebrating its 125-year anniversary as a diocese this year. The students will come to Sioux Falls on Wednesday from across eastern South Dakota.

The Diocese says it began celebrating its 125th anniversary in September of 2014 in Yankton, the birthplace of the Diocese in South Dakota.

It will hold several more events throughout the year, which will culminate in a three-day gathering at the Sioux Falls Convention Center in August.
