Jon Stewart leaves “The Daily Show”
After more than 15 years, Jon Steward will be stepping down as host of “The Daily Show.”

The announcement came in a statement from Comedy Central President, Michele Gainless, on Tuesday evening. The statement says that Stewart will stay on as host until later this year. A replacement has not been named.

The satirical news show, which Stewart has hosted since 1999, has been called a cultural phenomenon, and has launched several successful spin-offs on the network.

Brian Williams suspended from “Nightly News”

NBC “Nightly News” anchor Brian Williams will give up his anchor chair and paycheck for six months.

Williams has been suspended for misleading the public about an incident that happened while he was covering the Iraq war.

NBC Chief Executive Steve Burke says Williams’ actions were inexcusable, but that he deserves a second chance. Williams apologized last week for saying he was in a helicopter that was hit by a grenade while covering the Iraq war in 2003. Instead, he was in a group of helicopters and another was hit, and some veterans involved in the mission called him out on it.

Lester Holt is expected to fill the anchor spot.

Bobbi Kristina Brown remains in hospital on anniversary of mom’s death

The only daughter of Bobby Brown and the late Whitney Houston remains in a medically induced coma at a hospital in Atlanta on Wednesday morning on the third anniversary of her mother’s death.

For more than a week and a half, the family of Bobbi Kristina Brown has kept close watch at Emory University Hospital. The 21-year-old remains on life support and her condition is reportedly grave.

On January 31st, she was found face down in a tub of water in her Atlanta-area home

Wednesday marked three years since Bobbi’s mom, Whitney Houston, was found dead in a Los Angeles hotel room bathtub. Her death was ruled an accident.
