There is certainly no short supply of fun things to do during your summer weekends, but this weekend you have the chance to travel back in time. The Siouxland Renaissance Association is hosting its annual Renaissance Festival this Saturday and Sunday at the W.H. Lyon Fairgrounds.

Val Lietz, who plays the historical character Lady Katherine, and Anna Vorhes, who plays the historical character Lady Anne took a seat on the KDLT Orange Couch to talk more about the Renaissance Festival.

Lietz and Vorhes say the SRA was organized 15 years ago with the goal of teaching people history in a fun way, and each year the organization hosts the Renaissance Festival to invite others to join. The festival will include over 50 vendors, live jousting, and entertainment like juggling and fire-breathers.

The 14th Annual Renaissance Festival will be at the fairgrounds Saturday, June 6 from 10 a.m. until 7 p.m. and Sunday, June 7 from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m. Admission is $10 for adults and $5 for children and seniors. For more information, click here.
