‘Prom Night Through The Decades’ Dance Tonight In Sioux Falls

Prom season has come and gone for high school students, but for adults it is just beginning. At least for tonight.

The Ballroom Dance Club in Sioux Falls is hosting its “Prom through the Decades” dance.
It’s your chance to re-live the big night and celebrate like it is any year you want!

On Friday, Jeff Pray and Glenda Pray from the Ballroom Dance Club joined Kevin Hurd on KDLT News Today to talk more about the event.

Both Jeff and Glenda talked about how the prom idea came to fruition.

“This was an idea that came up a few years ago that it would be fun to have a prom type dance in the spring time. And so we came up with Prom through the Decades,” Glenda said.

You can dress up in any type of attire you want – but prom attire is encouraged.

At each dance there is a lesson at 6:45 that focuses on a different dance. Tonight’s lesson is on The Tango. The lesson is given at 6:45. Jeff & Glenda will go over the basics and some fun moves, too.

The orchestra begins playing at 7:30 and dancers are welcome to come and go as they please.

There will also be cocktails and snacks.

The event is being hosted at the El Riad Shrine in Sioux Falls, although it is not a shrine event.

Tickets are $14 for adults and $7 for students.
