It’s the time of year for trips to the apple orchard and hot apple cider, and The Fruit Club has some ways to get the season’s sweetness into your kitchen for dessert this fall.

Easy Caramel Apple Dump Cake

Ingredients:

6 cups finely chopped, peeled apples

1 cup caramel ice cream topping

1 teaspoon or cinnamon.

2 cups walnuts or pecans, chopped lightly

1 yellow cake mix

1/2 cup melted butter

Directions:

1.) Preheat oven to 350 degrees, or 325 degrees for glass or dark pans.

2.) Spray 13 x 9 baking dish with cooking spray.

3.) Place apples in bottom of pan, drizzle with caramel topping

4.) Sprinkle with cinnamon, nuts and cake mix

5.) Drizzle melted butter on top and bake until golden brown or 45-50 minutes.

Salted Caramel Apple Cheesecake Crisp

Ingredients:

1 pouch (1 lb. 1.5 oz.) sugar cookie mix

1 cup old-fashioned oats

1/2 cup packed brown sugar

2 teaspoons ground cinnamon

3/4 cup butter, melted

1 package (8 oz.) cream cheese, softened

1/4 cup granulated sugar

1/2 teaspoon vanilla

6 large apples, peeled, cut into 1-inch chunks (about 8 cups)

3/4 cup salted apple topping

Ice cream, if desired

Directions:

1.) Heat oven to 350 degrees. Spray 13 x 9-inch (3-quart) glass baking dish with cooking spray.

2.) In large bowl, stir together cookie mix, oats, 1/4 cup of brown sugar and 1 teaspoon of the cinnamon. Add melted butter; mix until crumbly. Set aside.

3.) In small bowl, beat cream cheese, granulated sugar and vanilla until smooth. Set aside.

4.) In large bowl, toss apples with remaining 1/4 cup brown sugar and remaining 1 teaspoon cinnamon. Distribute apples evenly in baking dish.

5.) Spoon tablespoonfuls of cream cheese mixture randomly over apples. Sprinkle with cookie mixture.

6.) Bake 35-40 minutes or until crumble topping is golden brown and apples are tender. Serve warm drizzle with salted caramel topping. Cover and refrigerate any remaining dessert.
