Autopsy Report Reveals Woonsocket Woman’s Cause Of Death

Jennifer Gibson died from stab wound to the neck

Authorities have released the cause of death for a Woonsocket woman killed last month.

South Dakota Attorney General Marty Jackley’s office says an autopsy report shows that 26-year-old Jennifer Gibson died from a stab wound to the neck.

Matthew Novak, 33, has been charged with first-degree murder and two other counts in the Aug. 31 death of Gibson. He has pleaded not guilty. A trial has been set for Jan. 11.
Authorities arrested Novak at a home after the incident that prompted authorities to lock down a nearby school.
