Boyfriend drops girlfriend’s engagement ring

An error had fans at Yankee Stadium gasping in disbelief Tuesday night, but it had nothing to do with what was going down on the diamond, but instead involved a downed diamond.

A fan’s plan to pop the question to his girlfriend during the Red Sox-Yankees game hit a snag as the prospective groom dropped the engagement ring in the process of asking miss right. Thankfully, fellow spectators lent a hand to the bumbling Romeo and helped to track down the missing jewelry. Romeo got his ring back, got a re-do, and most importantly, got a yes from his bride-to-be. Crisis averted!

The happy couple went on to watch the Yankees beat the visiting Red Sox 6-4.
