Jackrabbit QB “Taryn” It Up!

Christion Is Valley Offensive Player Of The Week

It’s not often in college football that an underclassmen beats out an experience senior to start at quarterback.

Five weeks into South Dakota State’s season it’s pretty easy to see why sophomore Taryn Christion got the nod coming out of fall camp.

The Roosevelt alum had his best game yet at Southern Illinois this past weekend, throwing for an SDSU record 466 yards and five touchdowns in State’s 45-39 win and earning Missouri Valley offensive player of the week honors.

It’s been par for Christion’s course this year.  Taryn has thrown for more than 1600 yards and 20 touchdowns to just one interception.

State visits five time defending National Champion North Dakota State in the Dakota Marker game on Saturday at 2:30.
