Suspect Arrested In Attempted Robbery At Joker’s Casino

Victim reportedly wrestled airsoft BB gun away from suspect during robbery

Police have made an arrest after a man tried to rob a Sioux Falls casino early Sunday morning.

Joshua Reck, 36, allegedly arrived at the Joker’s Casino in the 5,000 block of West 12th Street as the clerk was opening the casino.

Police say Reck pointed an air soft BB gun at the clerk and hit him over the head with the weapon. Police say the victim was able to wrestle the gun away from the suspect before Reck fled the scene.

Police arrested him soon after at a nearby gas station, where they found him to be carrying meth. Reck faces charges for first degree robbery, aggravated assault and possession of a controlled substance.
