EARS UP, HORNS DOWN! Confident Jacks Take Marker

SDSU Rolls Up More Than 500 Yards On NDSU Defense

For the first time since 2009, it’s Ears Up and Horns Down, with the Dakota Marker residing in Brookings.

The Jackrabbits beat their northern rival Bison 19-17 yesterday in Fargo.  Despite dominating most of the game offensively and not punting, SDSU needed that Wieneke score to secure victory.

State rolled up more than 500 total yards of offense on the vaunted Bison defense, with Taryn Christion running for a 141 yards and throwing for 303 and two scores.  The effort earned him a second straight Missouri Valley Offensive Player of the Week award.

It makes it easy to see why, despite three empty redzone possesions, the Jacks were confident they’d win in the end.

SDSU hosts Youngstown State for Hobo Day on Saturday at 2 PM.
