Learn About Opportunities At Helpline Center Volunteer Expo

Volunteering in your community can be rewarding for both the place you’re giving your time and service, and it can be rewarding for you. Saturday at the Washington Pavilion, the Helpline Center is hosting a Volunteer Expo where you can learn about a variety of opportunities that are out there.

Susie Ryks, director of volunteer services, says there will be plenty of booths set up from local organizations for you to learn about how you can volunteer for them. Plus, there will be an area where you can make holiday gift tags, dog toys, write cards for veterans, and more– it’s all volunteering! Ryks says the benefits of volunteering are endless, not just for the great feeling you get knowing you’ve helped, but especially for the organizations you volunteer for.

The Volunteer Expo is Saturday, October 22 at the Washington Pavilion from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.
