SF Business & Professional Women Host 5 Classes On Professional Development

The Sioux Falls Business and Professional Women group is hosting a five-part series to help women grow professionally and personally.

Maureen Ohm with SFBPW says the organization meets monthly to network with other women who are like-minded and are interested in growing in the workplace. SFBPW is hosting a five-part series called “Your Best You: Changing the Landscape of Workplace Well-Being.” Part 1, Developing Self-Awareness, is about making more confident decisions and effectively managing stress. Part 2, Professional Presence, is all about your character, communication style, and appearance and how those affect others around you. Part 3, Mindful Living,is learning how to be more attentive to their decisions. Part 4, Leadership is a Verb, is about actions and interactions with coworkers and employers. Part 5, The Power of “No,” is about learning to say “no” once in a while.

Each class will take place at the Cherapa Place on the third Wednesday of each month: November 16, December 21, January 18, February 15, and March 15. Tickets are $15 for each individual class or $65 for all five. Classes take place from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m., bring your own lunch.
