Police: Man Charged With Aggravated Assault After Threatening To Kill Man With Baseball Bat

A Sioux Falls man has been charged with aggravated assault after threatening a man with a baseball bat police say.

According to Public Information Officer Sam Clemens, 51-year-old Michael Joseph Bordeaux was charged with aggravated assault and carrying a concealed weapon on Sunday evening, when he threatened a father of a child involved in an argument with other children.

Two groups of children got into an argument, when one of the groups went back to the father’s house in the 500 block of North Duluth Avenue. A group of people showed up at the house when Bordeaux threatened to kill the father with the baseball bat police say.

The father went around the back of his house and grabbed a machete. Officers then arrived on scene. They found Bordeaux walking towards the father with the bat. Bordeaux also had brass knuckles in his pocket.
