A Sioux Falls man is back behind bars after police say he vandalized a convenience store so he could return to jail.

Police arrested Joseph Garlic, 26, just after 7 a.m. Thursday  morning for reportedly throwing rocks through the windows of a Kum & Go in the 500 block of N. Minnesota Ave.

Police say Garlic had just been released from jail after being arrested for shoplifting, and that he told officers that he wanted to remain in jail.
