Caille Branch Library Renovation Almost Complete
Finishing Touches Being Put On In The Interior Of Siouxland Library Caille Branch
SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – Workers are putting finishing touches on the interior of Siouxland Libraries’ Caille Branch. A major renovation that began in July is nearing completion at 4100 South Carnegie Circle (near West 49th Street and Oxbow Avenue).
Since Caille’s closure, Siouxland Libraries staff has maintained, “It’s going to be great. Worth the wait!” That’s a promise nearly fulfilled! The complete interior remodel has created a more open environment with a new teen space, small group study rooms, and the addition to the children’s area of activity tables and other interactive elements that promote learning. In the words of one librarian, “The colors are wow!”
The $1.2 million project also includes exterior work—replacement of siding, windows, and partial roof repair—that is complete.
The Caille Branch will reopen soon. A date will be announced by the end of the year.
A formal ribbon cutting will take place at Caille at 4:30 p.m. on Monday, January 23, 2017. The public is encouraged to attend and celebrate a brand new place to read, learn, and connect. If an ADA accommodation is needed, please contact the Human Relations Office at 605-367-8745 or firstname.lastname@example.org at least 72 hours before the event.
