Stampede Sport Ugly Sweater Jerseys Friday Night

Sioux Falls Stampede take on Lincoln Stars

Our Sioux Falls Stampede takes on the Lincoln Stars this Friday night at the PREMIER Center. They’ll be wearing some ugly sweater jerseys for the game that were designed by a fan.

Jim Olander with the Stampede says they teamed up with the Salvation Army last year for the inaugural Ugly Christmas Sweater jersey game. The Stampede organization wanted to help the Salvation Army reach their Christmas fundraising goals. This year, they had fans submit designs for the jerseys, and after the team narrowed it down to three choices, the fans voted and chose a winning design. The players will be wearing the jerseys at the game against the Stars on Friday, and after the game the jerseys will be raffled off with the money going to the Salvation Army. There will also be Salvation Army Red Kettle bell ringers at the game for other ways to donate. Olander says they are also encouraging all the fans coming out to the game Friday to wear their own ugly sweaters to help cheer on the Stampede.

The game against the Lincoln Stars starts at 7:05 p.m. Friday, Dec. 16. Tickets can be bought at the PREMIER Center box offices, or here.
