Goedert & Bergner On First Team, Wieneke On Third

SIOUX FALLS — Dallas Goedert, Jake Wieneke and Miles Bergner have been racking up awards since the end of the regular season and today they got perhaps the highest honors of them all.

Goedert and Bergner were each named to the Associated Press’ FCS All-American First Team. A Britton native, Goedert caught a single season SDSU record 92 passes for just under 1300 yards and 11 touchdowns.

The Coyotes’ Bergner is the nation’s top punter after leading the FCS with an average of 47.5 yards per punt. He was also the team’s place kicker and the school’s all time leading scorer.

Wieneke was named to the third team after hauling in 78 passes for more than 1300 yards and 16 touchdowns.
