Peterson Says He Will Play On Sunday
Vikings Host Indianapolis Sunday
MINNEAPOLIS, MN —
Last night after his second practice since returning from a meniscus tear, Adrian Peterson said he’d have to look at the X-Rays to see how his knee was holding up before deciding on when to play again.
Apparently he liked what he saw on the film because Peterson says today that he is going to play on Sunday against Indianapolis.
Peterson exclusively told Dash Radio, an internet broadcaster whom he has some ownership in, that he will play on Sunday against the Colts. He hasn’t played since tearing the meniscus in his right knee during the home opener on September 18th against Green Bay.
Peterson said he came to the conclusion that he was going to go after talking with head coach Mike Zimmer, his position coach and the training staff. Minnesota has yet to confirm or deny Peterson’s claim and still have yet to activate him off the IR and make a corresponding roster move.
The Vikings and Colts kick off at noon.
