South Dakota’s Electors Cast Their Votes
PIERRE, S.D. – South Dakota’s electors officially cast their votes for Donald Trump and Mike Pence.
Gov. Dennis Daugaard, Attorney General Marty Jackley and Pam Roberts made the selections at the Capitol in Pierre Monday morning.
The Governor and Attorney General appointed Roberts to take the place of Lt. Gov. Matt Michels, who was selected as an elector and could not be present. A release from the Governor’s office said Michels intended to join Daugaard and Jackley in casting a vote for the Trump/Pence ticket but could not because of a scheduling conflict.
