Stiegelmeiers Matching Feeding South Dakota’s Donations
SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – Feeding South Dakota says more than 5,000 kids in South Dakota deal with food insecurity.
That’s why South Dakota State’s Football coach and his wife have teamed up with the nonprofit to fight child hunger. John and Laurie Stiegelmeier are matching people’s donations until the end of the month. The couple says they already give on a daily basis but felt they needed to do more.
Coach Stiegelmeier says Feeding South Dakota programs are important to the community because the organization helps people we interact with everyday.
“We’re really blessed to have grown up, lived in South Dakota for so many years and we’ve seen firsthand in communities, neighbors helping neighbors and that’s what this is. It’s bringing in home, it’s helping our neighbors and that’s kind of where our heart is,” says Laurie Stiegelmeier.
The Stiegelmeiers say they will match up to $10,000.
