Redhawks Steal Win In Final Frame Over Canaries
Sioux Falls Loses Lead In Top Of The Ninth Versus Fargo-Moorhead
SIOUX FALLS, S.D. — The Sioux Falls Canaries (26-31) lost to the Fargo-Moorhead Redhawks (29-28), 7-6, on Wednesday night at the Birdcage.
The Canaries took a quick 2-0 lead in the first inning thanks to an a single by Ty Morrison.
The Redhawks would tie the game up after Charlie Valerio hit a two-run homer in the top of the second.
Keury De La Cruz would give the Redhawks a 3-2 lead on a solo home run in the following inning.
The Canaries would retake the lead in the sixth inning after Chris Jacobs hit a moonshot three-run home run, giving the Birds a 5-4 lead.
Later tied in the eighth inning, Ty Morrison hit a solo home run to give the Canaries a 6-5 lead going into the final frame.
In the top of the ninth, a two-out, two-run home run by Trever Adams gave the Redhawks a 7-6 lead, which they took to the end.
The Canaries wrap up their three-game series against the RedHawks on Thursday night at 7:05 PM at Sioux Falls Stadium.
