Canaries Suffer Second Straight Ninth Inning Defeat

Redhawks Score Four Runs In Top Of Ninth To Stun Sioux Falls

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. — The Canaries (26-32) fell the the Fargo-Moorhead Redhawks (30-28), 4-1, after losing another ninth inning lead.

The loss completes the sweep for the Redhawks.

Grady Wood pitched six perfect innings, having his perfect game broken after giving up a hit in the seventh.

He finished the game with nine strikeouts.

In the eighth inning, Jabari Henry gave the Canaries the lead with a two out single that scored Mike Falsetti from second.

In the top of the ninth, however, the Redhawks bats came alive and scored four runs, giving Wood the loss.

This loss comes one night after the Redhawks

The Birds head down to Texas to wrap up the first-half of the season with a three-game series against the AirHogs starting Friday night at 7:05 PM at AirHogs Stadium.
