Sioux Falls Exceeds Expectations To Make Improbable World Series Dream Come True

Will Face Greenville North Carolina On Friday Night

WESTFIELD, IND  —  When Sioux Falls was granted it’s little league charter, the end goal was always a trip to the World Series in Williamsport.

And to the surprise of even the coaches on the team, they achieved that in their first year.

The team took off at 8 AM this morning for Williamsport probably still buzzing after yesterday’s 6-0 Midwest Region Championship win over Webb City Missouri.  Aside from the fact this is the first year of the program the team itself has only played together for the for a few games in their region and district tournament.

Coach Jeff Riley came into this postseason with a lot of questions, and it’s safe to say he likes the answers he’s gotten.

The kids will face Greenville, North Carolina in the World Series on Friday at 7 PM on ESPN.
