5th Grader Uses Art Contest To Help Other Kids

SIOUX FALLS, S.D.- The winner of a t-shirt design contest is helping the organization that gave him the opportunity to express himself.

The Boys & Girls Club of the Sioux Empire partnered with Scratchpad Tees to hold an art contest for kids to design a t-shirt with part of the proceeds benefiting the Boys & Girls Club. They chose Roni, who was 9 years-old at the time, as the winner.

Roni and his sister, Ashley say they love going to the Boys & Girls Club and were so excited when they found out Roni won.

Scratchpad is now selling the shirt through their retail partners across the state. Fifteen percent of every shirt sold goes back to the Boys & Girls Club. Roni and Ashley help sell the shirt at various benefits for the Club as well as events with Scratchpad.
