New Forever Stamps Revealed In Sioux Falls
Tennessee artist's floral still life work become four new stamps
The United States Postal Service hosted a big ceremony in Sioux Falls Wednesday to reveal brand new stamps.
The USPS released the “Flowers From the Garden” forever stamp series Wednesday. The four stamps feature “floral bouquet” still life artwork by artist Elizabeth Brandon. She was at the event this afternoon along with South Dakota Governor Dennis Daugaard. The Tennessee artist says this all started with a phone call out-of-the-blue one year ago.
“My reaction was– is this for real? I did get an email and a contact from postal services about wanting to do these stamps of my four florals, so it was pretty exciting, I had to take that in for a while,” Brandon says.
The new stamps can be purchased in booklets of 20 and coils of 3,000 and 10,000.
