Greenville’s Perfect Game Stops Sioux Falls At Little League World Series

6-0 Defeat Is First Postseason Loss For Sioux Falls

WILLIAMSPORT, PA  —  It took a perfect game to finally end the perfect run of the Sioux Falls Little League Team.

Matt Matthijs, Chase Anderson and Carson Hardee combined to throw a perfect game for Greenville (the Southeastern Region champion) in their 6-0 victory over Midwestern Champion Sioux Falls at the Little League World Series on Friday evening.

It’s the first perfect game at the Little League World Series since 2008.

Drew Fields and Ashton Byers each drove in a pair of runs for the Greenville team.

Sioux Falls drops to the elimination bracket and will play Northwest Region Champion Walla Walla in a loser-out game tomorrow night at 7 PM on ESPN.
