C.J. Ham Makes Minnesota Vikings Roster

Locals Look To Make NFL Rosters

SIOUX FALLS, S.D.  —  On a day where their team lost 38-7 in the home opener there was some good news for Augustana fans  because former star C.J. Ham made the cut with the Minnesota Vikings and will be a on the team and in uniform when they open the season a week from Monday against the Saints.

Ham spent most of last year on the practice squad and is expected to be the team’s top fullback.

SDSU alum Zach Zenner, as expected, also made the Detroit Lions 53-man roster and USD alum Tom Compton made the Chicago Bears cut as well.

Washington alum Nate Gerry was not as fortunate.  The 5th round pick was one of the Philadelphia Eagles final cuts.  O’Gorman alum Cedric Lang was also cut by the Denver Broncos.
