City Released Details On $1M Settlement Over Premier Center Panels

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – The city of Sioux Falls has released details on a $1-million dollar settlement between contractors and the city over cosmetic defects on the metals panels of the Denny Sanford Premier Center.

The release comes one day after the South Dakota Supreme Court ruled in favor of the Argus Leader newspaper, which sought to obtain the contract in 2015.

A portion of the contract says both the contractors and the city agreed to keep the details of the settlement confidential.

The Argus argued that the details are open record because no litigation was involved.
