Fire Departments Offer Condolences To Family of Fallen Presho Fire Chief

PRESHO, S.D. — Several South Dakota fire departments are sending their condolences this evening after the loss of a South Dakota fire chief.

Yankton Fire writes their thoughts and prayers are with the family of Presho Fire Chief Don Manger.

They say manger passed away over the weekend while battling a structure fire.

The Blunt Rural Fire Department also offered their condolences, and the Mitchell Firefighters Local 4166 changed their profile to the fallen firefighter symbol.

An obituary from Hickey Funeral Chapel shows visitation and a prayer service are scheduled for 7 p.m., Wednesday Oct. 18, at Presho United Methodist church.
