|This is a part time as needed position.
Provide food, beverages, and equipment for special events. Will be expected to gather all food and supplies, transport and set up food service events, and assist in clean-up after events. Included in this role will be monitoring and maintaining quality control of food and equipment, restocking supplies, and cleaning and sanitizing food service area. Must have strong customer service skills and be able to work under stressful conditions. Must have creative skill to attractively present food items. Must have good listening skills to effectively communicate with supervisors, co-workers, customers, and staff. Must be able to follow written and oral directions. Must be able establish effective working relationships with co-workers and staff. Must be able to maintain quality control standards. Equipment operated includes cold holding equipment, beverage machines, hot holding equipment, catering tables/carts, convection and combination ovens, and dish machines.
Must comply with all HACCP guidelines. This position will be in charge of light food production, service of food and beverage items, light duty and some heavy duty cleaning. The Sanford Center catering department is primarily Monday through Friday and day shifts, however there are a number of events, 20-30 per year that require the catering team to flex to help cover these important caterings.
|True High School diploma/GED; On-the-job training will be provided; Previous experience in food preparation and service is highly desirable; Training given on setup and service for catered events.|
