Auto Parts Store Needs Public’s Help Identifying Donation Thief

GARRETSON, S.D. – Caught on camera this week: a thief in Garretson swiping a donation jar meant for hurricane victims.

The theft happened Wednesday afternoon at Ewe-Pullet Self Service Used Auto Parts.”  Surveillance video shows the suspect walk up to the counter, quickly take the jar and leave.  Nordstrom’s Automotive Inc. owns Ewe-Pullet.  Vice President & General Manager Shannon Nordstrom says there were actually three people involved: one who stayed in the car they all drove up in and another who bought something to distract the employee behind the counter while the third person took the jar.  Nordstrom says those donations would’ve been given to Samaritan’s Purse for their efforts in Texas, Florida and the Caribbean.  If you know who the suspect is, you’re asked to call the store.
