University of Northwestern and Life 96.5 to open a new building
The University of Northwestern Saint Paul and Life 96.5 are teaming up to bring a new building to Sioux Falls.
They hosted a groundbreaking ceremony Monday morning to celebrate the partnership.
The two Christian-based organizations says more classes are needed as the population and economy continue to grow in Sioux Falls.
The radio station was built when Sioux Falls had a population of about 50,000 people.
Steve Statz says he listens to the radio station everyday on his way to work.
“It was kind of cool,” said Statz. “About three years ago my daughter was like, a seventh grader, and she gave me a book filled with memories from Dad, and one of those memories she [said] was singing in dad’s car and listening to Christian music.”
A variety of business classes will be offered in the building.
