Toppers Pizza Robbery Suspect Charged In Second Robbery

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – Sioux Falls police say a suspect in a recent armed robbery is now being charged in another robbery.

Police say they were able to connect 53-year-old Gregory Armstrong to an armed robbery at a Shop N’ Cart in Sioux Falls.

Police say Armstrong entered the Shop ‘N Cart near the intersection of 10th Street and Sycamore Ave. shortly before 12:30 a.m. on October 26th. Armstrong displayed a handgun and left with an undisclosed amount of cash on foot.

Armstrong is already in custody for an armed robbery that took place at Toppers pizza in Sioux Falls.

Armstrong now faces two counts of first-degree robbery.

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – Sioux Falls police have arrested two people who they say were responsible for an overnight armed robbery.

Police arrested 53-year-old Gregory Armstrong and 58-year-old Cordell Jackson on first degree robbery charges.

Police say Armstrong and Jackson entered Toppers Pizza located at 817 South Minnesota Avenue around 9:45 Tuesday night. The investigation revealed that one of the suspects distracted an employee by asking to exchange a bill for quarters while the other showed a firearm and demanded money.

Police say a delivery driver returning to the store saw the robbery in progress and called police.

Armstrong and Jackson fled the scene with $275.

After some time police say they located one suspect at a nearby gas station and the other was located near 17th and Spring Avenue.

Police say there was no injuries reported and most of the stolen money was recovered.
