Early Childhood Assistant

Good Shepherd Lutheran Early Childcare Center has an exciting opportunity for a Early Childhood Assistant. We are a Christian-based early childhood program that cares for children from 6 weeks to 5 years of age.

The Early Childhood Assistant will work closely with the Early Childhood Education Director and Operations Manager to ensure the center is operating per State Guidelines. They will assist in preparation and communication of schedules for all staff ensuring an effective full time/part time mix. Will help ensure staff is maintaining required ongoing educational requirements.

This position will be the first contact to cover classrooms for staff absences, breaks and meal times. Works directly with Early Childhood Education Director to coordinate lesson plans and ensure they are being followed based on Curriculum calendar.

The Early Childhood Assistant will generally work 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM, Monday – Friday (with start and end time varying slightly as needed). Starting pay is competitive, and will depend on the candidate’s education and experience.
