February 19th and 20th Snow Totals

Into the start of this week, a series of low pressure systems moved through southern parts of the Sioux Empire. Each one brought a round of snow. The first round started in the morning hours on Monday, and the others started during the late afternoon Monday into Tuesday. Below is not only a radar loop of some of the heavier snow, but also a list of some of the snow totals coming in. If you have a snow total from where you live, please send us the measurement either on Facebook, Twitter or email (weather@kdlt.com), and we’ll pass it on to the appropriate National Weather Service Office. Remember, to take a good measurement, stake a ruler in the snow in a couple different places that haven’t been compressed down. That way you get a good average.
