Full-Time, 80 hours per pay period.
Various shifts from 5:30am-7:00pm with rotating weekends and holidays.
This employee, as part of a team, performs invasive cardiac and peripheral vascular diagnostic and interventional procedures and electrophysiology procedures using sophisticated imaging, hemodynamic monitoring and recording equipment to assess and treat cardiac and peripheral vascular disease. This employee will rotate among three positions: a recorder who monitors, records and analyzes the patient's EKG and intracardiac pressures; a scrub tech who assists the cardiologist with the sterile procedure; and a float tech who operates the X-ray equipment and other equipment in the laboratory, runs blood samples and obtains sterile supplies for the scrub tech. The employee will be working with all ages from newborn to geriatric patients.
Must be able to work with growth and development needs of unique client populations (Refer to Self Assessment Checklist for specific age groups). A thorough knowledge of cardiac anatomy, physiology, hemodynamic principles, X-ray techniques and emergent and routine cardiac care.
Associate degree in Invasive Cardiovascular Technology or equivalent experience required. RCIS registration through CCI is required within one year of start date.
