Full Time: 8am-4:30pm, 11:30am-8pm, 4pm-12:30am, every other weekend.
Room Service line cooks are part of a team that accurately and efficiently cook meats, fish, vegetables, soups and other hot food products as well as prepares and portions food products in a demanding and fast paced environment. RS line cooks use skills such as sautéing, roasting, searing, poaching, braising to cook meats, seafood, poultry, vegetables and other food items. RS line cooks also practice final plate preparation including plating and garnishing of cooked items, preparing appropriate garnishes for all hot menu item plates.
RS line cooks are part of a dynamic culinary team that prizes learning, sharing and open communication.
Maintains a clean and sanitary work station area including: tables, shelves, pasta cookers, sauté burners, oven, flat top range and refrigeration equipment. Follows proper plate presentation and garnish set up for all dishes. Handles, stores, and rotates all products properly. Assists in food prep assignments during off-peak periods as needed.
Closes the kitchen properly and follows the closing checklist for kitchen stations. Assists others in closing the kitchen. Equipment operated but not limited to: ovens, stove tops, induction burners, grills, deep fat fryers, mixers, slicers, steam kettles, combo-ovens, food grinders, food processor, knives, dish washers, garbage disposals, refrigerators, and freezers.
On-the-job training will be provided; however, previous experience in food preparation and service is highly desirable. Training given in preparation of special foods.
