Saturday night the Vikings participated in a game style practice with full tackling and situational scenarios.
But after a full offseason with no OTA's due to the NFL Lockout, there's a chance players could be running a slightly greater risk of injury in this type of practice. We talked with members of the team earlier this week about how the lack of those offseason workouts will affect the squad during this training camp.
"It's not neccesarily your body that has rust," Linebacker Chad Greenway said, "It's more your reads, mentally going through the process its gonna take a couple days, it always does and without OTA's and mini camps, it'll take a little longer. But everybody's in the same boat, we'll just continue to work hard and it's gonna be fun."
Defensive End Brian Robison added, "It's not gonna be too much different, but as far as team building, OTA's could've helped with that. So now everythings gonna be kind of condensed a little bit."Follow KDLT Sports at @KDLTSports and KDLT Weekend Sports Anchor Kolbe Nelson at @KolbeNelson for opinions, links, and updates on Twitter.
