McNabb Figuring Out New System With Vikes

Bookmark and Share

Saturday night the Minnesota Vikings fell to the Tennessee Titans 14-3 in their first preseason game of 2011, but probably more importantly, for a brief while when the first team was in, fans got a chance to see the 2011 team in action for the first time.

In that same regard, fans got to see what Donovan McNabb could do in Purple with a new offense in a game like situation. We talked with McNabb while he was still at training camp in Mankato, about how he was adapting to offensive coordinator Bill Musgrave's new system.

"Some of the concepts are very similar to what I know," McNabb said, "A little different verbage. It will take some time, but that's what practice is for, spending time after practice, communicating with each other, just being on the same page."

McNabb went 6-11 with 40 yards against Tennessee.
