Sioux Falls, S.D. (Aug. 29, 2011) – The Sioux Falls Skyforce begins its 23rd season on Friday, Nov. 25 on the road against the Fort Wayne Mad Ants. The season opener tips off at 6:30 p.m. CT at Allen County War Memorial Coliseum in Fort Wayne, Ind. The home opener is set for the following night at 7 p.m. CT against the defending NBA Development League champion Iowa Energy.

Sioux Falls will play 16 of its 24 home games on Friday or Saturday and will host Springfield in the annual Christmas Night game. Fans will see 12 different visiting teams take the court at the Sioux Falls Arena.

Home games are guaranteed to be more exciting this season with the addition of two high-definition video boards. The new video boards can operate as independent displays showing single large images or be divided into multiple zones (windows) to show a variety of statistics, information, graphics, animations and live and recorded video.

The NBA D-League Showcase will once again be played this season and take place in mid-January. An announcement with specific details on the event will be announced at a later date. In addition to the NBA D-League Showcase, the NBA D-League All-Star Game is scheduled for Feb. 25 in Orlando.

For the third consecutive year, the NBA D-League will feature two conferences, East and West. The Eastern Conference will consist of the expansion team in Canton, Dakota Wizards, Erie BayHawks, Fort Wayne Mad Ants, Iowa Energy, Maine Red Claws, Sioux Falls Skyforce and Springfield Armor, while the Western Conference includes the Austin Toros, Bakersfield Jam, Idaho Stampede, Los Angeles D-Fenders, Reno Bighorns, Rio Grande Valley Vipers, Texas Legends and Tulsa 66ers.

Season tickets and 12-ticket flex packs for the 2011-12 season are on sale. For more information please contact a Skyforce representative at (605) 332-0605.
