Promoters of a proposed events center in South Dakota's largest city say the project would create more
than 1,200 jobs, mostly for people working on the building.
Sioux Falls residents will vote on the project in a Nov. 8 special election. City officials have been visiting various groups to talk about the project.
About 200 people would be hired in permanent positions when the building opens.
Sioux Falls Mayor Mike Huether says the project is about "jobs, jobs and jobs."
