It was one of the deadliest wars in history and now folks in the Sioux Empire have the chance to view a traveling piece of history to help put it all in perspective.
John Weisbecher joined us on the set Monday morning to tell us more about Waddell and Reed's "Honoring our History" Traveling World War 1 that is in Sioux Falls for one day only.
The exhibit is enclosed in a large traveling trailer that includes artifacts, memorabilia, and even a trench exhibit to show what life was like for soldiers in that period.
The event is Monday, September 19th in the parking lot of the Old Courthouse Museum in Sioux Falls from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Admission is free but donations will be accepted to benefit the Old Courthouse Museum as well as the World War I Memorial in Kansas City.
