A South Dakota woman accused of using a knife on her brother and husband has been sentenced to more than two years in prison.

Fifty-two-year-old Alverna Eastman of Mission was accused of stabbing her brother in the shoulder and cutting her husband on the hand during a domestic dispute in February. She pleaded guilty in July to assault with a dangerous weapon.

U.S. Attorney Brendan Johnson says Eastman was sentenced to 27 months in custody to be followed by two years of supervised release.
