Peterson is Offensive Player of Week

Eden Prairie, MN (October 11, 2011)Minnesota Vikings RB Adrian Peterson earned NFC Offensive Player of the Week honors for his 3-TD, 122-yard performance vs. Arizona on Sunday. The honor was Peterson’s 5th of his career. His 122 yards rushing gave Peterson his 26th career 100-yard rushing game and his 3 TDs in the 1st quarter matched an NFL record for rushing TDs in a quarter. The 3 TDs set a Vikings record for a quarter and half along with matching the team record for rushing TDs in a game. Peterson leads the NFC and is 2nd in the NFL through 5 weeks with 498 yards rushing and is tied for the NFL lead in rushing TDs with 6.
