South Dakota is changing its capital for one day next month.
Gov. Dennis Daugaard announced that Onida has been chosen to be South Dakota's Capital for a Day on Nov. 3.
Daugaard and a small delegation of state officials will tour Onida and have a roundtable meeting with business and community leaders. There will also be a coffee and constituent outreach hour.
Daugaard said the event will allow him to get better acquainted with the leaders and become more informed on local issues in Onida.
Mayor Gary Wickersham said the people of Onida look forward to
Daugarrd and his staff visiting.
