Mitt Romney All Business At Chamber Meeting In Sioux Falls

Bookmark and Share

Nearly 2,000 people packed the Sioux Falls Convention Center to hear what Mitt Romney had to say. The size of the crowd seemed to surprise the presidential contender.

"I think this is the biggest chamber gathering I have ever seen. I didn’t realize Sioux Falls was bigger than New York City, This is really something, congratulations on this kind of turn out." Said Romney.

The Republican Candidate is fresh off a debate in Las Vegas, and wasted no time in trying to separate him from the other candidates when it comes to business.

“I believe in freedom and opportunity, I believe when the founding fathers gave us those political and economic freedoms they gave us and thereby attracted every entrepreneur and pioneer to come here, they created a country that is second to non. I can tell you if I'm lucky enough to be elected president I will never apologize for this the greatest nation in the history of the earth”. Said Romney.

For the large crowd attending, having one of the top contenders for president was looked at as a rare opportunity.

"They did quite a job of getting Mitt Romney today, I'll tell you that." Said Gary Kulm.

"Someone who's running for president, come to South Dakota, which is unheard of, we're one of the last states to have a primary, so we're very fortunate that he was able to come to town." Added Rodger Horr.
