It's not often that a small school like Waverly-South Shore gets the chance to play for a state championship, but Friday against Avon, they'll get that chance. Leading the way for them will be twin brothers Taylor, at quarterback, and Tyson, at wide receiver.
"It's really been fun to watch those guys work together," Head Coach Billy Kirch said, "Being brothers they have a certain relationship that's really unique, and watching those guys interact and the connection they have, is just awesome. They compete everyday and it shows on Friday nights."
The two have been hooking up for on passes for four years, leading to Tyson becoming the all-time state 9-man receptions leader.
"We've got a lot of chemistry," Taylor said, "I always know where he's gonna be at on the field, and we just click off really well together."
What the Zemlickas bring to their team goes far beyond statistics though.
"They've done alot for our program." Kirch said, "Beyond that, they're great kids, they're fun to be around, but really great athletes and great leaders."
And for them, the only fitting way to wrap up four years of making football magic would be a title.
"Our goal is to go to state this year and win it," Tyson said, "We don't want to just get there, we don't want to win just 11 games, we want to win 12, we want to be state champions."
