Organic farming is a trend that is growing in popularity year after year, but for farmers out there that are looking to get into the field, and don't know exactly where to start, a conference taking place in December is a great resource for answers to those questions.
Peter Sexton from the Plant Science Department at SDSU, and Madison Organic Farmer, Aaron Johnson joined us on the set of KDLT News Today Thursday morning to tell us more about the 20-11 Sioux Falls Organic Agriculture Conference.
The conference takes place December 5th and 6th at the Best Western Ramkota in Sioux Falls. The two day event is $55 at the door, or $40 for those who preregister by Nov. 15.
The event features speakers and session aimed at educating farmers to the field of organics, but also for those who currently already farm organically. The Sioux Falls Organic Agricultural Conference is a great opportunity for information exchange among and between farmers and those who work with organic agriculture.
